We are not going to talk about the specs of the phone at all because there are a lot of websites that do a better job at it, and it is not the point of this article either.
Therefore, I believe in the real-world usage to actually find how the smartphone performs instead of reading the specs only.
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a budget phone, of the category that is highly contested by Xiaomi, Realme and now Nothing has also joined the line. The phone is the predecessor of Moto Edge 40 which was itself an amazing phone and sold like hot cakes.
Let’s find how if Motorola Edge 50 Fusion has topped the previous version and also the other phones in this price range.
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion’s Display:
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion display does a great job with producing accurate and bright colors. Although the panel is not as sharp as other Motorola Flagships, but you do might not feel any difference with naked eyes.
The overall animations feel very smooth on the 144Hz screen and stays at 60Hz while idle to save power. The display is great for viewing content but has one small drawback, that is, it doesn’t support HDR content on Amazon Prime and Netflix. Other than that, it is has a beautiful display.
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion’s Software:
In this world where even Samsung Smartphones come with some form of bloatware like Netflix and Facebook, Motorola Edge 50 Fusion does a splendid job by not giving us any bloatware; apart from a few proprietary apps it comes only with the basic software.
The animation feels very smooth in Motorola’s new Hello UI and the processor packs enough punch to keeps the animations running smoothly for years to come. Motorola has also promised 3 years of major Android Updates and 4 years of Security Updates which is good news.
Apart from Google pixel this is the closest you can get to stock like software. Overall, the software experience is fantastic.
Motorola Edge 50 Fusion’s Camera:
Motorola has impressed me with the updates they have done to the camera system of Motorola Edge 50 Fusion. Along with giving the best sensor in this price range, they have excelled at post processing. The camera produces punchy pictures with sufficient details. The 50 MP main camera with OIS does a great job in low light and there is enough detail and sharpness in the pictures with little to no noise.
The secondary wide-angle camera isn’t very useful and should be only used when you need to get a lot of people in the shot.
The 32 MP front camera takes nice selfies with a tad bit of saturation.
The videos from all the cameras are not that great which is the case for most phones in this price range and you shouldn’t expect anything extraordinary from it.
With all pros and cons into consideration, the phone has a top-notch camera system and I loved it.
Conclusion
Motorola has come a long way since the days of its survival days to creating excellent phones for the masses and this is another great phone from them.
I hope you liked this article. Thank you for reading.
