Let’s talk about the good things first:

1. Display:

OnePlus devices are known for being value for money, here the display doesn’t exactly deliver on that front, but it isn’t bad either. You will get used to it and won’t complain unless you compare it with the Motorola phones.

2. Battery:

The phone has a massive Li-Po 5000 mAh battery which lasts all me two days with moderate use. The phone comes with an 80W charger but can only charge up to 67W, 67W isn’t bad but why give a bigger charger only to disappoint later.

3.Camera:

The camera is pretty decent for the price. It is very usable for social media and keeping memories, although the same cannot be said for the video. The camera doesn’t have optical image stabilization, but the EIS is decent even in low light conditions. You won’t be disappointed with the camera.

4. Build Quality and Design:

The phone is a sandwich between plastic in the back and glass at the front with plastic side rails. There was a time when they used metal and glass even on budget phones like these and I would have to blame Samsung to stop that trend. Whether I like it or not is a different question, I actually like that it’s made of plastic, that way the phone is more durable and can last longer. Personally, I like the one with the pastel green.

Now let’s talk about the bad things:

1. Processor:

The processor is the worst part of this phone, it’s so bad. The phone ran fine for the first month but after that the bad processor along with the bad ram management makes the phone unusable sometimes. My advice would be stay away from SD 695.

2. Software Experience:

OnePlus software has improved a lot in recent times. It definitely went the rogue for some time by copying Oppo’s Color OS; there was a time when Oxygen OS was getting praises from everywhere because its snappiness and bloatware free experience. But in recent times OnePlus has tried to bring bad old glory in their phones but! not this one unfortunately, the software on this phone is garbage, the RAM Management is terrible, and it feels like a sponge and not elastic band. The software experience is enough to look away from this phone.

Conclusion:

Overall, it is a great phone if you are not a heavy user, what I mean by heavy user is that you won’t use it for multi-tasking heavy apps. This is a great phone for light usage and for parents.
